Mù u (Calophyllum inophyllum L., Clusiaceae) là một cây thuốc phổ biến trong dân gian điều trị một số bệnh ngoài da. Từ năm 1980, dầu Mù u được nhiều tác giả nghiên cứu về hóa học, tác dụng và chế phẩm. Riêng thuốc mỡ BALSINO của nhóm Nghiên cứu Mù u tại Khoa Dược đã được giấy phép sản xuất của Bộ Y tế từ năm 1989. Mục tiêu của đề tài này là nghiên cứu hoàn thiện thuốc mỡ BALSINO về các mặt: khảo sát nguyên liệu, nghiên cứu bào chế: thiết kế và tối ưu hóa công thức, xây dựng quy trình sản xuất thuốc mỡ BALSINO và theo dõi độ ổn định của sản phẩm; tiêu chuẩn hóa sản phẩm; thử nghiệm vi sinh; thử nghiệm dược lý in vivo và thử lâm sàng để điều trị một số vết thương phần mềm ngoài da.
Abstract
Further study on BALSINO - an ointment containing Calophyllum inophyllum oil as its pharmacologically active component. Calophyllum inophyllum oil is renowned for its remarkable healing properties. In 1989, BALSINO was introduced as a restorative therapy for many skin ailments by the research group at the Faculty of Pharmacy. In this research, the BALSINO ointment was further studied for the following aspects: the preformulation - dealing with the improvement of the extraction processes of Calophyllum inophyllum oil and Curcuma longa oil, the specifications of the raw material oils, the optimal combination ratio of Calophyllum inophyllum oil with Tersol (a specific fraction produced from Melaleuca leucadendron essential oil); the drug development - involving the computer-aided formulation optimization the standard of the finished product and the product stability; the in vitro and in vivo pharmacological effects - including the antimicrobial activities, the cicatrizing and anti-inflammatory effects as well as the irritatant and toxic properties; the clinical trials - starting with phase I.All results were positively evaluated. BALSINO has been promisingly aimed to used for the treatment of wounds, burns, scratches, dermatitis, dried-and-chapped skin, bedsores, diabetic sores, hemorroids...
